Have heard that if you call a ticket broker the day before a concert you can get seats in the first few rows for face value because they just want to unload them and get their money, has anyone tried this?

I’m looking for concert tickets for Jack Johnson on August 7th but they’re sold out on ticketmaster, and alot of websites are asking for $100 and up. I don’t really want to buy off ebay, does anyone know of any sites that sell tickets for really cheap ? Or any other way i could get them for cheap?
